CRANES UNITED FC.
After participating in the London City Airport Sunday league for 4 seasons running.
We thought it was good time to graduate into something much more competitive. Its with this concept and ambition that we Changed from London Cranes F.C into CRANES UNITED F C to play and participate in the Saturday Intermediate league. We are now playing on a higher level in the Ilford and district Saturday intermediate league.
AMBITION;
Our ambition collectively and severally is to play the gracious game of football at the highest level in this country. We believe that given the opportunities available to us in this country, one day we shall participate at the highest level of football in this western world.
OBJECTIVES;
1- We want to provide a healthy and amicable social activity of interaction for our younger and old members of our community.
2- We are focused on developing the younger talents in our community by providing a spring board which will help them progress their individual talents to higher levels and greener pastures.
3- We envisage that by forming and running this Cranes United Football Club, we are providing our younger generations mainly the adolescents and the youth a more productive alternative that will draw them away from destructive behavior and activities.
4- We want to teach ourselves the basic concept of team work in our lives and also how to live and work with people from different cultures.
5- To have healthy bodies that are physically fit and hence living more healthy lives.
6- Football being a social activity, our club provides us with an opportunity of meeting as people from the same community and interacting with one another with the aim of getting to know each other better and how we can help each other, even on a personal issues.
7- Learning from the best; when we move around playing games all over the country we appreciate the footballing culture of this country and the infrastructure. And this is a point of enlightment for us who come from the 3rd world.
ORIENTATION;
Our club is a community based establishment. We want to engage in issues , activities and programmes that are community based and are to the benefits of our community and society at large. We are an all inclusive establishment. We want to provide and promote harmony within the communities we live in and in society at large.
COMPOSITION;
We are mainly East Africans, i.e.; Ugandans, Kenyans, Tanzanians and Rwandese . We have a shared language; Swahilli. But we don’t discriminate, everybody from whichever background is free to join and we have a few members who are British nationals. |
